“Open” means anyone may attend — including family, friends, and anyone curious about the program. “Closed” means the meeting is for people who have — or think they may have — a drinking problem. Newcomers are welcome.
Notes
This meeting is held quarterly in January, April, July, and October on the first four weeks of those months. The meeting does not meet on the 5th Monday of the month if the month contains 5 Mondays. The topic rotation is as follows:Week 1: Steps 1-3Week 2: Steps 4-6Week 3: Steps 7-9Week 4: Steps 10-12
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who help each other recover from alcoholism. There are no dues or fees, and the only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.
