Recovery Starts Meetings
Every listing comes straight from the fellowship that publishes it. Coverage grows area by area — your local intergroup is always the most complete source.

The sources, in order of authority

Every listing here is carried exactly as published by the fellowship itself — we never compose, merge-edit, or invent a meeting.

A.A. — the same Meeting Guide feeds that power A.A.'s own app, published by each intergroup and area on its own website. N.A. — the regional BMLT root servers N.A. service bodies run themselves; each listing's last-updated date comes from that server's own change log, and regional helplines are shown where the region publishes one. C.M.A. — crystalmeth.org's official directory. C.A. — ca.org's directory plus C.A. Alberta's own published schedule.

When two service bodies publish the same meeting (an area and an intergroup often both do), we show it once and keep both records — two independent publishers agreeing is evidence the listing is right.

What we verify, and what we don't

Every listing is machine-checked on every refresh — all of them, everywhere, not a sample. We check that our copy matches the fellowship's published listing, that map positions look real rather than placeholder pins, that online listings actually carry a joining link, and that the directory each listing comes from is still alive — a source that has gone silent gets flagged, not trusted. Each listing shows when its own fellowship last updated it, and listings more than a year old carry a call-before-you-go warning.

We can't verify that a meeting actually happened last Tuesday — no directory can. But the people who were in the room can: every meeting page carries a one-tap "It still happens" button. Confirmations are positive-only by design — a visitor can vouch that a door is open, but no button on this site can close one; reports that a meeting has ended go through a human. Confirmations fade after about six months, so the question gets asked again, and they never override the fellowship's own data in what we show to search engines. This exists for the meetings that need it most — the church-basement rooms whose schedule lives on a paper poster, kept by people the modern web left behind.

What we can also do is refuse to hide problems: a listing that fails a critical check is withheld from search engines and labelled honestly on the page until its source fixes it. The numbers below are live.

The verified checkmark

Meetings earn a ✓ Verified mark three ways: their fellowship publishes them from a live registry that's still answering, we verify the room directly by phone or email, or 3 visitors confirm the room is meeting. Checks refresh monthly — Not verified yet just means nobody has vouched recently, not that the meeting is gone. Nothing is ever hidden or ranked by verification.

Tap "I was here — it still meets" when you attend and you ARE the verification system. To count, we check that your location is in the meeting's state or province — then the coordinates are thrown away, immediately, unstored. No account, no tracking, ever.

Data quality, right now

181,313 of 205,161 sessions (88%) carry their fellowship's own last-updated date; 82,912 were confirmed within the last 12 months.

475 sessions (74 listing pages) are currently withheld from search engines pending verification — they still appear here, labelled.

Corrections
The fastest fix is at the source: every listing links its fellowship's original entry, and the fellowship's own office can correct it for everyone, including us, within a day or two. Or tell us directly — we read every report, and we can suppress a wrong listing immediately while the source catches up.
No money is involved
This directory is not affiliated with A.A., N.A., C.M.A., C.A. or any fellowship, and takes no money for listings — no ads, no referral fees, no treatment-centre partnerships, ever. It exists so that anyone, anywhere, at any hour can find a room.
