“Open” means anyone may attend — including family, friends, and anyone curious about the program. “Closed” means the meeting is for people who have — or think they may have — a drinking problem. Newcomers are welcome.
Notes
Grapevine articles are read and discussed during the meeting. Meeting participants should enter through the back of the church and go to the basement floor via the stairs or the elevator.
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who help each other recover from alcoholism. There are no dues or fees, and the only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.
