“Open” means anyone may attend — including family, friends, and anyone curious about the program. “Closed” means the meeting is for people who have — or think they may have — a drinking problem. Newcomers are welcome.
Notes
Our group reads both the Big Book and the 12 & 12, and then around the room discussion. On the last Monday of the month we read the corresponding Tradition, and also share Topics that members choose.
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who help each other recover from alcoholism. There are no dues or fees, and the only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.
