THE TEACHING IS NEVER OVER

The teaching is never over—what a beautiful truth for those of us in recovery. The Big Book makes clear that our spiritual growth is not a one-time event but a daily unfolding. On page 84, we read the Promises: 'We will intuitively know how to handle situations which used to baffle us.' This isn't a graduation—it's a beginning. Each day, as we practice Step 10 (page 84) and continue to take personal inventory, we discover new layers of ourselves. And page 85 reminds us: 'We are not cured of alcoholism. What we really have is a daily reprieve contingent on the maintenance of our spiritual condition.' That means every morning, the teaching starts fresh. Even after years of sobriety, there is always something to learn—about ourselves, about our Higher Power, about how to love and serve others. The journey itself is the teacher, and the classroom never closes.
